Earwig

Earwig

from $595.00

The Earwig was created to knife through and hold a line in large, steep waves. While the front half of the Earwig resembles La Cucaracha, the back half is more akin to a gun (step-up / big wave surfboard). The pin tail is tighter and more pulled in than that of the Pro shape or La Cucaracha.  The Earwig will excel on big days at the Wedge or in large, overhead shorebreak such as Aliso or Cabo.  This board works to its full potential with riders that are extremely lean and fit.

*The Earwig is limited to three sizes: Medium-Large-Large, Large, and Large-Extra-Large

All boards are handmade by Paul Wade in San Clemente, California. Built to endure years of use, they’re made with carbon fiber and e-glass baked in an epoxy matrix. Cores are shaped from high density foam. Boards are generally 3/4” under the front foot and tapered to 5/8” on the nose and tail unless otherwise requested. Tapering can vary depending on rider’s weight.
