Pro Shape
Pro Shape
Originally designed for Bill ‘Beaker’ Bryan in the 90’s, the pro shape continues to be the board of choice for many of today’s professional skimboarders.
It works best in large shorebreak conditions such as Aliso or Cabo, and is ideal for fast wraps back into the tube. Because of its ability to knife through the water and hold rail, it mimics the surf style of a long, drawn out turn.
Being a staple in the sport, this board is suitable for all conditions but has an emphasis on snappy turns and fast, radical skimboarding maneuvers.
All boards are handmade by Paul Wade in San Clemente, California. Built to endure years of use, they’re made with carbon fiber and e-glass baked in an epoxy matrix. Cores are shaped from high density foam. Boards are generally 3/4” under the front foot and tapered to 5/8” on the nose and tail unless otherwise requested. Tapering can vary depending on rider’s weight.
